About the Book
Trinidad D. Lukban was born on February 6, 1925 in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Sur, to Col. Amando M. Dumlao (Ret. PA) and Clara David, RN. She was a nursing student when she married; and finished her Bachelor of Arts Major in Psychology at the University of the Philippines when she already had five children. She went on to graduate from the Philippine Women’s
University with a Master of Arts in Child Psychology, and from the University of Santo Tomas with a Certificate in Interior Design, both when she had seven children.
She was married to Dr. Vicente J. Lukban, and they were blessed with eight children: Vicente, Enrique, Trinidad, Agustin, Augustus, Gersam, David, and Robert. The family fondly remembers her as an accomplished cook and competent
homemaker. She was the embodiment of the perfect wife to her husband, and devoted mother to her children.
This “Memento in Poetry” is a compilation of poems which she wrote in the latter part of her life. Some of them she wrote while briefly residing in the United States of America, while most of them were written during her years in Daet, Camarines
Norte. This book is a tribute to our mother, Trinidad, and to our father, Vicente, for the unconditional love and care they gave to us their children.
