About the Book

Charlie is a little boy who struggles in school and in making friends. Finding a friend who will accept him in spite of his limitations is hard. As Charlie walks home from school he has the opportunity to make the words “Be kind and compassionate” come to life. In his own “private playground”, a ravine behind his house, Charlie finds a very special friend; a friend who really loves him.

About the Author

Carolyn Christesen is a retired elementary teacher. Her passion for teaching has kept her in the classroom for 36 years and it has led her to schools in Kansas, the Philippine Islands and Germany. Through the years she has come to appreciate a child’s imagination and where it can take a person. It is her dream to touch a life of a little child by sharing stories on God’s love and how He meets our needs. Carolyn is living in Missouri with her husband. She spends her time with their grandsons and making trips to Kansas to see their granddaughters. She is currently working on the next book in the series, “Hi, Grandma!”
