About the Book

Matilda is moving to a new school and trying to fit in. After she is given a homework assignment, she finds the perfect way to show her new classmates that you cannot judge a book by its cover.

About the Author

Anita Bland studied education and the fine and performing arts at Rowan University, Montclair University, and Fordham University. Anita worked as a teacher of Literature and Drama for 35 years in the Newark, New Jersey Public Schools. Anita also worked with The Metropolitan Opera Guild’s Education Department, Creating Original Opera in the classroom and has written for the Music Educator’s Journal and the Asbury Park Press as a feature writer as well as been a contributor on various other literary endeavors. She is a mother of four, grandmother of four and honorary mother to all the students she has met over her years of teaching.
