Contrary to all the TV shows and news stemming from Vietnam, the guys serving there were not killers, village burners, or drug addicts. They were one’s brothers and fathers, sons, cousins and classmates, neighbors and friends.

It too had its heroes and villains. Author Albert J Myers unveils the truth about the war in Mankind Man Unkind. Myers was fortunate enough to be able to come home from his tour in Vietnam. There he saw the best and the worst in men, mankind and man unkind. He witnessed the tears of a man who had to kill rather than be killed. He saw a man who saved a buddy’s life at the expense of his own. He was among the men and women who were responsible in the building the Third Marine Division Memorial Children’s hospital at Dong Ha.
