The Adventures of Tugboat and Captain Ollie

About the Book

In this book the hero of the story is a beautiful Golden Retriever pup, who also is rescued and adopted by Captain Ollie who owns and pilots a tugboat. Captain Ollie falls in love with the golden retriever puppy at first sight and takes him home before he’s given to a shelter by the owners. What happens after that, well you’ll have to read the story to find out. More people need to open their hearts and rescue an abandoned animal. All they want is someone to love them just like we do.

About the Author

As an author I love writing and reading children’s books. I especially like reading books with dogs as one of the main characters. I go to the library and into the children’s book section, that’s where you’ll find me. I love animals, especially dogs. We’ve had dogs all our lives. I go to the library where there’s a wealth of information just waiting to be absorbed by animal lovers of all ages, especially young minds and future young authors. My wife and I have a little Yorkshire terrier who we rescued from a bad situation. She was 10 months old and weighed 5 ½ lbs. The idea of a dog excited me, but not a small dog; I’ve always liked bigger dogs. The thought of walking a little dog didn’t excite me at all. Well to make a long story short, when we entered the home of the owner, hiding under the table was the last and smallest of the litter. When I saw her, something inside me all of a sudden changed. I looked at her and she stared up at me it was love at first sight. My heart said we were taking her home, no matter what the cost. Here is a picture of her.
