About the Book

An old legend that was written and saved by the monks of the Highland Monastery and the nuns of the Saint Augustine Convent is kept in the libraries for the children to read. They also warned them many times never to wander too far into the caves alone, for they may never find their way back. There are unseen forces which can draw you deeper and deeper down, where you will never be found, lost forever in the darkness of the underworld. This kingdom is ruled by Queen Austeria, who has sent her first born son to the Highland Monastery to learn the ways of the people above the Earth. Some day this prince will rule and protect the Treasure of the Earthions and the Eternal Flame of Life.

About the Author

About the author: Gwendoline Phillips was born in England and raised in the Midwestern United States. As a child she expressed her creativity through writing short stories, poetry, and creating arts and crafts. Gwendoline has published her first children’s book, inspired by her children and grandchildren, “The Magical Land of Scotwalend,” and is currently working on another book in the series. About the illustrator: Amy Dwarika is a native of Florida, who graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville. She has been drawing and painting since childhood; her work can be found in private collections throughout the United States & South America. Currently, Amy is working on a custom line of hand painted furniture and also illustrations for Gwendoline Phillips’ series of books.
