About the Author
I was born and raised in New Jersey and have been married to my husband, Jim for 48 years. We spent 31 of those years in Massachusetts and currently live in Canton, GA. I graduated from Boston College School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree and my RN. For several years, I was a pediatric nurse and instructor at Children’s Hospital and The Boston Floating Hospital in MA. Later, I became a School Nurse at St. Sebastian’s a private boys school in Needham, MA. It was there my journalistic efforts began to blossom. I wrote weekly community newspaper segments; became the editor of the alumni magazine, assisted on the schools literary magazine and became the moderator of the High School Journalism Club. Soon, I found myself being called upon to assist as one of the schools primary photographers - a hobby I still enjoy. At age 63, I opened a paint your own pottery business called “Personalized Plates.” Not only is it fun and prosperous, but it allows me to be in contact with hundreds of children and as a result provides me with a cache of wonderful story ideas. I am “Mother” to three children, “Mother-in-Law” to three more, and “Nana” to ten grandchildren. They are truly the inspiration for me to write and publish children’s books. This is my very first one.
