About the Book

A man who came from rather humble beginnings; strives to overcome adversities, and to search for a better way, a point of direction, his place in the sun. He has dreams of achievement, and the overpowering urge to fulfill his “good guy” instincts. He works to provide for a growing family and continues to contribute to society in the best way he can.

This book is a continued effort to encourage ordinary men to have faith and to face up to day to day problems. It is also a study of the human spirit, which in addition to having the responsibility of fulfilling the obligations of this life, should consider those spirits with a life yet to come.

There may be a day in future years, when an insecure, freckled faced lad will read all, or part of this book. It is the author’s hope that when he does, his head will be held just a little higher; his shoulders will be just a little straighter; and he will thereafter wear the smile of confidence.

About the Author

Larry Wark was born and raised in upstate New York. He came from humble beginnings, and slowly overcame childhood adversities.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp; married, and started the beginning of a large family. Larry became and worked as an “Old School” Cop.

A family tragedy led to him relocating his family to south Florida.

He struggled to make a living through a series of mundane jobs, until he returned to law enforcement, as a “New Breed” police office. He loved the job and the responsibility that came with the badge. He experienced a major “put down,” which resulted in a lengthy battle with police authorities and City Hall. He won, and went on to hold public office. From there, he set his goals even higher. “

Larry now lives in the city of Tamarac, Florida. He is semi-retired and is a Security Instructor for Corporate Security Academy in Fort Lauderdale.
