About the Book
Needle Daze is a true story about being immersed in the drug culture for almost thirty years. The life style, the relationships and all the accompanying insanity that is part of the drug scene is revealed. Despite the sadness and the struggles the author not only survives, but goes on to live a life beyond her wildest dreams.
About the Author
Maria was one of three children born in 1941 and was raised in East Harlem NY (El Barrio). Both parents were of Hispanic descent and hard working people. Her family migrated to East Elmhurst in 1950. The author worked in the field of addiction treatment, and later in life worked as a medical aide. Currently retired, under treatment for Hepatitis C and Cirrhosis.
