About the Book

Six Feet Off the Ground is the story of aging, hall-of-fame rock star, Ed Dorris, who is on the run from the authorities and his past, but he soon finds that there is no escape upon discovering that he has a son he never knew about. In his alcoholic haze and dementia from many hard years on the road, Ed has problems determining the real from the imagined in his quest to be a father to his son. Six Feet is a sometimes dark but also comedic look at substance abuse, abnormal family dynamics, and the search for one’s truth in life.

About the Author

H. C. Turner was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on July 4, 1971. As a history major at Wittenberg University in Ohio in the early 1990s, he began writing poetry and short essays as a personal outlet for creative expression. His love of the creative process led him to a career in the music industry, where he has been involved in publishing, management, and records since 1997. He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife Jennifer and three sons. He enjoys time with his family, participating in any outdoor activity that can be done without shoes, and collecting quirky, vintage European automobiles.
