Morecombe Research is a prestigious high-tech company. Kelly Schumacher, a successful business executive, was thrilled when she was selected by the famous Cyrus Morecombe to be his executive vice-president. Then, during her orientation, she realizes that Cyrus Morecombe does not exist! This shock is soon compounded by the insistence of a powerful business partner who demands to meet Cyrus personally.
The once-confident Kelley Schumacher starts having nightmares and for the first time in her life this confident business woman does not know what to do. Then, quite unexpectedly, Kelly receives a call from a mysterious stranger who had anticipated she might be having a problem and offered to help her!

After some very careful planning Charles Manning and Kelly Schumacher take the company's executive committee to a luxury resort on the Lake of Bays in the Muskoka Region of Ontario, Canada. Their special meeting was ostensibly to celebrate the company's thirtieth anniversary. Their intention was to solve Kelley's problem by having Charles impersonate Cyrus Morecombe, announce his retirement and promote Kelly to succeed him as the new company president.

The ambitious plan, the twists and turns that occur in Muskoka, and an unexpected conclusion await the reader when Kelly and Charles relax several weeks later in Fiji, on the island of Yasawa, in the South Pacific.

Bonus!  The Appendices tell the stories of the people the Morecombe party meet at the Dorset Lodge and Conference Centre in Muskoka.

BIOGRAPHY ADRIAN TUMBER AND HIS WIFE TRUDIE EMIGRATED FROM ENGLAND TO ONTARIO CANADA SHORTLY AFTER THEIR MARRIAGE. AN ACADEMIC, HE HAS GRADUATED FROM UNIVERSITIES IN SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND, HAMILTON AND TORONTO IN CANADA, WITH DEGREES IN BOTH EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICS AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. STARTING IN AN ELECTRONICS DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY, HE MOVED TO MOHAWK COLLEGE IN HAMILTON WHERE HE TAUGHT A VARIETY OF COURSES IN PHYSICS, ENERGY MANAGEMENT, MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS, AND BUSINESS. HE HAS CONSULTED ON ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, AND DEVELOPED INTERESTS IN WRITING AND PHOTOGRAPHY. DR. TUMBER AND HIS WIFE HAVE TRAVELLED EXTENSIVELY IN ENGLAND, THE US AND CANADA. AND HAVE VACATIONED FREQUENTLY IN THE MUSKOKA REGION OF ONTARIO.
