About the Book

Elora and Gasoline Alley is a young band trying to make their name a household word. The kids range in age from eleven to fourteen and are already serious musicians. What does it take to make a band succeed? This book looks at the behind-the-scenes lives of the kids and their families. There is a lot of hard work involved in making a band successful. Daily practice, parental involvement, and a commitment to working at making every performance special are needed to be a favorite by their fans.

About the Author

Dr. Marcella Villegas-Garcia is an educator with over twenty years’ experience in the public school system. She lives with her husband, Richard, and her two daughters, Celeste and Elise. Grandpa Everardo stays with the family but also keeps his own home to move about as he wishes. The family has two dogs, Snowflake and Sammi; a cat named Francesca; and various fish. There is always music in the house. It is not unheard of to see the whole family sitting on the sofa with their guitars or the ukulele, learning and singing a new song.
