About the Book At the age of forty seven years old, and looking back on my life I realized how destructive my life was and decided to share it with anticipation I can help others. At the age of twelve years old when most parents think they know their children, many of them really do not. For some reason at age twelve there are so many challenges and decision for them to make. The thought of having a crush on someone come into their lives. Thinking about sex and possibly testing the waters with drugs as well. It is hard for a parent to imagine their little child thinking along those lines, but it happens. At the age of twelve, children begin to test the waters never knowing the full consequences for their actions. What seems so simple and harmless is a silent act of destruction and possible death. I thought I knew everything, and I became addicted to drugs only to learn the hard way, coming close to death on at least three occasions. This book is about the life of a twelve year old child that one was innocent and fell to destruction. This book is about an innocent child who loved playing sports, loved life and never knew how easily life changed in a matter of a few years. This book is about the life a twelve year old on the verge of death, only to survive to tell his story.


About the Author

About the Author Born in Fall River Massachusetts and raised in the suburbs of Swansea Massachusetts Neal Dias was a product of a single parent household. After he lost his mother at eight years of age in a car accident, his father (a hard working shipping and receiving manager) was forced to raise him and his younger brother on his own. Neal a leader with strong conviction and an independent child, eventually gave into the pressure of belonging. With plenty of freedom to make his own decisions, Neal was eventually was engulfed with pressure to do drugs and hanging with the wrong crowd. This led him to a world unknown to many, with demons haunting him along the way. After several overdoses and the addiction to drugs, Neal had to make some hard choices to save his life all without his closest family and friends ever knowing. This journey of strength, courage, determination and a fight for survival, Neal tells a gripping story of overcoming the toughest battle of his life. He tells a story that many children and young adults will never be able to tell.
