About the Book

Young Pinyon’s High Desert Delight is a book about the wonderful creatures and flora found in the Great Basin. It tries to capture the beauty and importance of the environment by focusing on the personalities of the natural inhabitants. The adventure is about a two- family outing that has only positive, uplifting, and for some unexpected and delightful, results for all involved.

About the Author

Karen A. Ash has worked in the field of education for many years. She has worked with elementary and special education students, as a science teacher at the middle school level, and as a school counselor at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. She has worked in professional development and presented classes to fellow teachers as a regional coordinator in the Northeast Nevada Professional Development Program. An appreciator of her Great Basin, high desert surroundings, she likes to hike and enjoy her rural landscape.
