About the Book

This story demonstrates how simply written poem can both tell a story and have a certain rhythmic flow. My hope is that this book will encourage both a love for what once considered Americas’ pastime in some of todays’ youth, and an interest in poetry, whether it be reading some of the great works already available or creating something uniquely their own from the artist within they’ve yet to discover.

About the Author

I was born 12-14-1957 in Tuscola, Illinois, a small town in the southern part of the state. I grew up loving sports, but baseball was always my favorite sport. I am also passionate about music and the silver screen. I am a correctional officer and have been for 18 years. I am very concerned about human rights and worry about the condition of the world we live in both socially and ecologically.
