About the Author

Sofia Laurden Davis is a PhD in Human Services specialized in Management in Nonprofit Agencies and Leadership graduated in April 2014 from Capella University. Dr. Davis is currently an Independent Contractor function as a Certified Signing Specialist with mortgage, bank, law and title companies. She has 2 sons, Rhoss (Junjun) married to Tara, a grandson name Rael Patrick. Youngest son, Danny (Jr) 27 years of age married to Brenna. Danny is currently a medical student at Florida State University (FSU). Dr. Davis was divorced in 1998 and remarried in 2004 to a wonderful man who is her confidante. His name is Tom. Since 1989-1999, Dr. Sofia L. Davis worked in banking and real estate industries. Beginning of year 2000, she became an Independent Contractor working part time while pursuing her education. Currently, she is an entrepreneur, a volunteer of Guardian Ad Litem serves as a Certified Court Officer the voice for neglected and abused children in the area, a mentor for GAL volunteers, and she taught 4th & 5th religious education in the church she attended. She teaches art classes and offers “Courtesy Art Classes” and she travels to art students’ selected location, and or class can be held in her own Fine Art Studio. Dr. Sofia Laurden Davis plan is to teach online, and engage in research community. She plans to continue writing books and curricula. She plans to continue her sideline as an independent contractor function as art teacher, Notary Public, and Certified Signing Specialist. Dr. Davis graduated her PhD in April 2014. In 2006 she graduated her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from University of Phoenix. She has a Bachelor’s degree major in Art History, and Studio Art at Georgian Court University in New Jersey graduated in 2004, n Associates degree in Liberal Arts doubled with Photography at Brookdale Community College she graduated in 2000. She moved from Bricktown, New Jersey to Bonifay, Florida in 2004. The same year, she developed a 501 C3 organization named Bonifay Guild for the Arts, Inc. which in year 2010 this organization was renamed to Laurden-Davis & Associates sole proprietorship consists of Mobile Signing Agent, Notary Public, Fine Art Studio, Online Art Gallery, and Rental Properties. Dr. Davis developed a year book for her previous organization titled, “Memorable Moments of Bonifay Guild for the Arts, Inc. Part 1” The book has 110 pages of compiled photos, stories, and previous activities of Bonifay Guild for the Arts, Inc. The yearbook was archived in local libraries. In addition, the year book extra copies were placed at Chambers of Commerce, and 5% of sales was donated for 2013 Christmas Party event for neglected and abused children, and was given free to BGA and LDA members for keepsake.
