About the Book

Lara is new to the small, remote community of White River, Ontario. The grade 6 student meets lots of new friends and neighbours. Lara will come to learn the value of these friendships when a horrible accident befalls her family.

About the Author

A resident of Parrsboro, NS, Sheri-Lynn Kenny grew up in White River, ON. She worked and traveled with the Canadian Military for 17 years. After completing Teachers College, Sheri-Lynn decided to write children’s stories that could be used by teachers in the classroom.
