About the Book

In the past two decades, I have had many wonderful people in my life. This is my first endeavor in published form on my written word incorporated with my paintings and it has been a long-awaited piece of the puzzle of my artistic life. All my life, I have been a professional artist, and I have traveled a great deal and met an incredible variety of people and their very different lifestyles. With a little encouragement from friends, I decided to let the world into the secret spaces of my heart and share some of my musings. I feel that my life has been very blessed, charmed, exciting, and above all, a new experience each and every day. So here, I welcome you to feel . . . I hope you enjoy my works written and painted here as much as I did in their creation!

About the Author

Katherine Dietzel DuTremble has been an artist her entire life. At the tender age of seven, she began her artistic adventures at West Point, New York's historic trophy point, while her father was the head football coach at the Army's premiere military academy. She drew and painted all through her early years and still has the very first painting she ever did in her studio today. She finished her studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in printmaking with a minor in American literature. Also fascinated by the written word and how one can create a vivid image with somewhat less than the proverbial one thousand words, she has compiled this grouping of written works. She has been a professional award winning, working artist for twenty‐five plus years and has enjoyed the patronage of clients around the US as well as internationally. This small cache of poems is her first foray into the printed word world and she continues working from her Studio in the Groves in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, where she lives with her two dogs Spud and Boo. She has one son, David, who is an accomplished musician, writer, artist, and chef, and he lives in Mt. Pleasant as well. "I hope you enjoy these works and that they touch your heart and make you feel the life and passion that came from my heart to yours." Her fine arts website is: www.katherinedutremble.com
