About the Book

Truth Hurts is a novel about family secrets. When some of these skeletons in the cupboard are revealed, they have devastating impacts on the individuals concerned. The two main characters, David Meredith and Bethan Rees have known each other from their schooldays. The story follows their relationship over forty years showing how the age in which they grew up, and its restrictions, coloured their lives forever.

About the Author

Valerie Napier lives with her husband on the Llyn Peninsula in north Wales and has three grown-up children and five grandchildren. She started her working life as a Home Economics teacher and later ran own catering businesses. Her Welsh Cookery book, magazine articles and an English short story were published. She worked on radio and television programmes and prepared background material for a Welsh film company. Before retiring she spent ten years as an Area Regeneration Officer for the local Council. She has gained an Open University Creative Writing Certificate and now spends much of her time writing.
