About the Book

This book of poetry that I have written summarizes the pain, the agony, and hope to all parents after the loss of a child. AlwaysRemembered As time goes on And memories fade, I am the one to keep You memories alive. I’m not looking for sympathy For the loss of my child. Just have some compassion As I honor him To keep his memory alive. I will celebrate the day Of his birth, year after year. In doing so, my eyes fill with tears. I will walk this road Without my child. Memories and love, As these will never die.

About the Author

Anita Halas was born in England and moved to Canada when she was four years old. She was raised in a large city, Vancouver, British Columbia. Reading and writing was her passion. Anita married her husband, Larry, in 1983. They raised their five children in a small town in Alberta. While raising five children, there was no time to write. It took years, after losing her oldest son for drowning, for her to begin to write.
