About the Book
Whatever is a collection of short stories and poems created over a period of time. They are located in different places at different times and in a variety of moods, thus the title, Whatever. Some readers will say, “I liked it,” while others might shrug and say, “Whatever.”
About the Author
Writing can be considered the eighth career for Dick Harte. Since graduation from Columbia University in New York in 1952, he has been a practicing optometrist, a senior physicist, an aerospace engineer, and a fellow of the Academy of Forensic Scientists, where he was considered one of the nation’s experts on drunk driving. For a number of biotech companies, he has supervised medical clinical trials leading to FDA approvals. He has invented devices for rapid medical diagnosis for toxicology and allergy. Dick Harte is an inventor with seventeen patents and is an entrepreneur who has launched four start-up companies. Dick Harte has previously published a travel book titled "Off Season". It recreates the adventures for Dick and his wife Sandi on a nine month trip to 44 cities and towns in 12 countries. They now reside in Arizona where Dick writes, paints and with Sandi visit the many restaurants of Scottsdale.
