Michaela’s Fury

About the Book

The idea for the fictional tale of “Michaela” evolved as a comical twist to true events involving the very first cat that was given to the family. I was never very fond of cats. Back in my native Panama, there were always roaming the neighborhood. We never knew whether the cats had a real home, or to whom they belonged.

About the Author

JOHANNA THOMPSON-VAN HORNE was born and raised in the Republic of Panama near the Canal Zone. She later joined her mother in the United States and lived at various locations in New York City. This is Johanna’s first children’s book. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College and a Court Reporting degree from Heffley & Browne Business School. She has two sons, Alexis and Erick; and 5 grandkids, Jazmin, Khalil, Sierra, Leila and Devin. Johanna is retired, a widow, and currently resides with her family in Rahway, New Jersey.
