About the Author
My name is Daniel R. Dow. I’m fifty-four years old. I have lived thirty-one of the last thirty-five years in a federal penitentiary. I have spent the last seventeen years as designated dangerous offender. I graduated at Simon Fraser University in 1992. With a bachelor’s in general studies. I have a minor in sociology and anthropology. I also studied European history, the history of socialism, and classic English literature. The bulk of my higher education was accomplished in prison through correspondence and the long-since cancelled prison university program. I am happily married. My wife and I have been together for eighteen years. We are both practicing Christians. We both believe that sometimes people simply have to speak out and try to influence the world for the better. That’s why I wrote this book.
