The memories recaptured in her work were inspired by the visits from the grandchildren at Nana’s House.

About the Author

Evelyn Cerda Gonzalez was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1955 and educated at Edgewood High School and University of the Incarnate Word in the Arts. She is a wife, mother of three children and five stepchildren, and a grandmother to eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson. She devotes her time to painting, ceramics, sculpturing, and writing. The illustrations in At Nana’s House were done solely by her, demonstrating her love for art.
