A European Odyssey

About the Book

A European Odyssey is about extracts taken from my daily diary and expanded into the joys, frustrations, and occasional disasters that can befall any traveler. It was written firstly for my own pleasure and then secondly for those who would love to travel but, maybe because of ill health or family commitments, are unable to do so. It is therefore hoped that the reader gets as much enjoyment from this journey as the writer.

About the Author

I was born and married in the UK and, later as a family unit, immigrated to Australia to enable our three children a better life in a better climate. The first five years in Australia were like a never-ending holiday, with new places to explore and unlimited job opportunities, but it wasn't until much later in life that international travel became almost an addiction. Western Samoa was the first bite of the cherry, followed by the Cook Islands, Thailand, the USA, Europe, and then Malaysia, which was then followed by multiple visits to Europe.
