Ape Plays with His Father

About the Book

The book “Ape Plays with His Father” was inspired by the author’s love for the game “hide and seek,” which she fondly plays with her older sisters, Shanice, Sydney, and Samara. The highlight of the book, where Apple saw Ape’s reflection in the mirror, was an idea that came about from the author’s love for science, and she actually learned this concept that same day, when she sat down to put her ideas on paper.

About the Author

Sierra Peters-Charles is an ardent writer, who said her first word at age five (5) months was “NO!” She is the last child of Michael and Elicia, born on March 29, 2007. She has four sisters and one brother. Sierra enjoys gymnastics and won two gold medals and one silver medal at The Dolphin Classic Gymnastics’ tournament in Orlando, Florida, in January 2015. She loves to play the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago, the steel pan, and is a very passionate singer and dancer. Sierra would like to pursue medicine like her sister, Shanice, when she grows up.
