The Owl and the Scarecrow

About the Book

The book is based on a made-up bedtime story I used to tell my grandchildren when they were young. It is about the interaction between an owl named Mr. Owl and a scarecrow named Mr. Jinks. The underlying message is to believe you can do much more than you think you can, which is the message Mr. Owl has for Mr. Jinks.

About the Author

Joyce Hosick was born in 1937 in Wills Point, Texas, a small town east of Dallas. After graduating from high school in 1956, she moved to the Dallas area, where she has spent most of her adult life. Her family consists of three daughters, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
