About the Book

Truth be told, many children suffer some kind of abuse, ranging from different categories, but it all comes down to the same word—abuse—whether it’s committed by friends, family members, or just an evil predator. See the story through my childhood eyes. After multiple attempts of escape from this taunting and after violent years have gone by, the years are enough for me to have the courage to share my life and live in hope that one day I will receive the justice I deserve.

About the Author

My name is Grace Burke. I am fifty-four years old and a mother of six. Occupational history includes being a nurse. I have been married for thirty-one years, and I have gained eight grandchildren. From the childhood I experienced, I believe in the saying ‘either sink or swim’, and I chose to swim and carry on and create a better life for myself and, in the process, gain an amazing family from my inner self.
