CHAPTER 1 – THE 12 UNIVERSAL LAWS
In recent times, there’s been an amazing mainstream awakening on the principles of the Universal Laws, the Law of Attraction and the power of gratitude. Like a wave, it has reached across the globe and the masses have learnt that they can be, do or have anything that they want.
Many caught this wave and, despite the initial fast-paced results, after several months an inspirational wall was hit and they were left reeling, without knowing how to take the next step or how to get back on track. The excitement and empowerment that they had felt was now replaced with discouragement, irritation and doubt that the law even worked because they had struggled and failed to materialize their desires.
We were inundated with people wanting to know how to get back into an inspired place in order to create.
The three main questions asked were:
• Does the Law of Attraction really work?
• What am I doing wrong? and
• How do I use the law to get what I want?
When we took a closer look at what had happened, it became clear that most people had misunderstood the key principles required to utilize the Law of Attraction effectively. This may have to do with some of the watered-down ways in which the Law of Attraction has been presented.
We decided to write this book to bridge the gap between the basis of the Law of Attraction and deliberate manifestation (materializing what you want). We will also reveal some truths in order to remove the stumbling blocks in your path to deliberate creation.
First things first: there are twelve main Universal Laws. The Law of Attraction is just one of those laws.
It is important to have some understanding of the other laws in order to effectively use the Law of Attraction.
Let’s clarify a few things first.
What are Universal Laws?
Universal Laws are the finite laws of nature that govern the entire cosmos. They facilitate the processes by which we grow, evolve, transform and thrive. They can also be referred to as natural laws or spiritual laws.
There are twelve main natural or spiritual Universal Laws:
The Law of Divine Oneness
In simple terms, the Law of Divine Oneness means just that. We are all one and we are all connected to every living thing. We all stem from the same divine creator and we are all made up of the same source energy. We are intrinsically entwined with all that exists.
The Law of Vibration
The Law of Vibration states that everything in the cosmos is made up of vibrating energy, including ourselves. Quantum physics tells us this. In order to attract the things that we want, we need to align our vibration with it. We can do that through our thoughts and feelings, and we’ll talk more about that later on in this book.
The Law of Action
The Law of Action states that when you are inspired, you must take action. This does not mean that you need to work yourself to the bone or do as much hard manual labour as you can. It simply means that when your instinct tells you to do something, you need to do it. Note that you can’t just laze around daydreaming. When it’s time to act, you must act in order to create.
The Law of Correspondence
The Law of Correspondence means that whatever is going on with you internally is being reflected right back at you in your experience of the outside world. If you’re peaceful on the inside, you will lead a peaceful life and your experiences will reflect your peaceful state of being. On the flip side, if you’re an unhappy person on the inside, you will lead an unhappy life and your experiences will reflect your unhappy state of being.
The Law of Cause and Effect
The Law of Cause and Effect is very similar to the Hindu notion of karma. Essentially, your actions have consequences. If you act with kindness, you will receive kindness; if you act with deceit, you will experience deceit; and so on.
The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction is based on the principle that like attracts like. You attract that which you are. You are made of vibrating energy and your emotions dictate what frequency you are vibrating at. Through the Law of Attraction, you will attract events, circumstances, people and experiences that are vibrating at the same frequency as you.
The Law of Compensation
The Law of Compensation maintains the equilibrium and establishes balance within the Universe. Whatever the action, circumstance, or behaviour, an equal and opposite action, circumstance or behaviour is happening at the same time in another place. If there is war there is peace; if there is loss, there is also gain; if there is damage, there is also restoration. If there’s a heat wave in Australia, there’s a blizzard in Canada. If it’s nighttime in New Zealand, it’s daytime in the UK.
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy states that energy has no beginning or end. It cannot be created or destroyed. It is in a constant state of transformation.
The Law of Relativity
The Law of Relativity states that you cannot define anything except by relating it to something else. You would not be able to define light, for instance, if it were not for darkness, or heat if it were not for cold.
The Law of Polarity
The Law of Polarity states that all things have an exact and equal opposite – up and down, left and right, happiness and sadness. To the same extent that one thing exists, the opposite of that thing exists in exactly the same intensity.
