About the Book

Without Promise is a romance story about two people who met on an international website. She lived in the United States, and he lived in Egypt. Getting to know each other as just friends became more involved than they originally anticipated. They ended up talking for six years, and their lives became very involved. The story is not only about romance but is an educational writing about the country of Egypt. You will learn about Egypt’s culture, government, religion, and the revolution of 2011. This book will teach you why Egypt is a third-world country.

About the Author

By profession, I am a CPA and controller. Approximately eight years ago, I took a two-year writing course with the Institute of Children’s Literature thinking that, upon retirement, writing would supplement my income. When I lost my job two years ago, I started writing children’s articles for children’s magazines. Although magazines have themes, they don’t accept most articles. But I didn’t give up. I then decided to write a book. I have two sons, Christopher, age thirty-three, and Robert, age twenty-six. I love cats and have two females, Honey Bun and Midnight. I also have two grandsons—Jared and Jake, ages nine and seven. To my readers, Never give up on your dreams. They are yours to have if you work hard enough. I worked full-time and went to college at night for seven years to get a four-year degree. I was determined to be independent. No one paid for my education. I did. The writing course I took while also working full-time. You are what you make of yourself, and again, no one can ever take that away from you.
