About the Book

It is raining outside, and little Lizzy has nothing to do except watch her mother do housework. How boring that is for a little girl. Mother is too busy to notice, but eventually Lizzy’s mother finds something that she and Lizzy can do together. In the end, Lizzy and her mother have made a sweet surprise.

About the Author

The Author is a mother and grandmother. She grew up in a small town in southern Idaho. She is a professor of an award winning Surgical Technology program at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho. Lizzy Gets Busy is only one of several children’s books that the author has written. She first started writing children’s books for her own children 30 years ago. Many of the characters that this author writes about have character traits or activities that her own children went through while growing up. Lizzy is really a character that is patterned after her second daughter Emily. The author likes to keep busy and she enjoys reading, writing, knitting, gardening, baking and cooking, drawing & painting, teaching, and playing with her family.
