About the Book

Drugs seem to be in every neighborhood today. Tyrone lives in a poor neighborhood, in the housing project area. He has no father in the house, so he hangs out with his two thirteen-year-old friends. His mother works at night, so Tyrone is out at night with his friends. There is not much money in his house, so he sells drugs with his two friends to have money for food, shoes, and clothes; to go to the movies; and to do other things he wants. Tyrone has been taking some drugs with his friends also. He is only ten. His friends find a different drug to sell, and they try it. They go to the house where it is being made. It is called meth.
