About the Book

Meet John Carlson, nicknamed Bean, who lives as a mouse in middle school in Cheddar County. His workbook is designed to help students learn about some basic life skills through learning models, short stories, and activities. Follow him and his friends as they share different stories. Bean’s friends also have vegetable nicknames: Carrot, Sweet Pea, Pepper, and Turnip—all with diverse backgrounds.
