Given this scripture, Psalm 30:11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy
what does it mean to you without doing any research? I would like to think just that, God turned my tears into joy. In times of suffering, these simple answers can ring hallow and empty. Despite the pain we are going through, we can find unspeakable joy in all of this. It doesn’t mean that we will walk around full of joy all the time. It just means our times of mourning will give way to comfort, praise and joy.
God can miraculously turn our sorrows into joy five different ways. Let’s divulge into a few of them. One way is that God reminds us that He’s still in control. He calls us to peace but we know the enemy is always looking for ways to keep turmoil in our lives. He hear voices of right and wrong but we must decide whose voice we are going to listen to. We know these trials and tribulations only comes to make us stronger. God is always with us and he will never leave us alone. He’s with us through the fire, through the trenches and even in the mouth of the lion. He is building tenacity within us and all we have to do is keep fighting. We will go from labor to reward. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 9:11 that the race is not given to the swift or to the strong but to the one that endures to the end. His joy is our strength and he have to keep pressing our way through. We will laugh again wholeheartedly and we will yet praise him continually.
Another way that God will turn your mourning into dancing is he brings the beauty out of ashes. He comes to redeem bring healing and comfort us. Now this doesn’t mean that we will never grieve any other losses we face in life or even the ones we are enduring now. He holds us secure in the roughest and hardest of times, never to leave us nor forsake us.
Thirdly, He is able to turn around the worst situations for out greater good. What the devil meant for evil, God meant it for my good. Genesis 50:20 says “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” The enemy may make us to feel imprisoned by our own lives. We sometimes can’t see the light of day because we are so overwhelmed with grief. Satan tries to crush our spirits, but we know that God is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the perfecter of our lives and he will bring beauty, blessings and favor back in our lives. Keep your eyes on him. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Proverbs 4:25-27.
Fourth, God never just allow us to go through pain without a lesson being learned. He promises to redeem the grief in our lives. There is nothing God cannot do, only he has the power to work wonders for us and we will continually give him the praise.
Lastly, he gives us hope and blessings for your future. Sometimes we thing that God has forgotten us and we may tend to think he isn’t for us. He declares in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. So now we know that God’s promise are yes and amen, even in our lives of uncertainty. He is paving a pathway for us to follow and if we believe him and IN him we know that he is walking that journey right with us.
So you see that God is providing a way home, a way in, and a way forward. When he turns our mourning into dancing, we know that we can experience celebration and provision. He comes in and speaks peace I our lives despite all the turmoil and grief we face. We have the freedom and power to now walk boldly because we know that God is on our side.
