Reflections on the Character of God

About the Book

‘God created within each of us something he delights in: a precious, beautiful refl ective jewel that he values and adores; an object for his desire. In his children, he sees the refl ection of his own perfect character. He loves us despite our perceived inadequacies. He wants us to love him back, to recognise him and to know him intimately, so that we can distinguish his voice, his leading, his presence and his heart. As we look to God we see a refl ection of our selves, we see our perfection in him. Everything that God is, we are in his image. To know God, we need personal revelations of his character. Knowing God is the beginning to self-discovery.’

About the Author

Ajowi Matete is a Kenyan-born New Zealander; she’s an author, pianist, composer, sonic artist and a researcher who committed her life to God at 6 years old. She completed her high school education at Rotorua Girl’s High school in New Zealand where her gift of writing was encouraged. Thereafter, she attended the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University Wellington, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music Composition and Sonic Arts with Honours. Ajowi currently works at the Christian mission ‘Global Recordings Network’ as a sound engineer and a New Zealand representative. She is also studying a Master of Public Policy course. She enjoys reading, writing and serving at her local church.
