About the Book

The events and people one meets when walking through this world assuredly shape us into the beings we eventually become. Love supposedly makes “The world go round!” And when, in our different ways, we love these people who shape us… The speed at which the world Spins, can be dizzying. The emotions we feel in these relationships mark the Happiest and sometimes most Saddening times of our lives. Bandaids on my Heart is a glimpse of these emotions. A look at the many faces of Love from the many different places I was standing, or hiding in at the time. It is a collection of poetry inspired predominantly by the different women I have loved, and how that love differed. I believe that a person is capable of falling in love with anyone, for entirely different reasons. In that although it is a different love, it is in no way any less beautiful or inferior to how he/she may have loved another. It is in this act of “Falling” that we can feel some pretty crazy things. “Bandaids on my Heart,” are some of those things….
