About the Book

The reader can expect to meet no character presented in Intrepid Mission that is dull and lacking action. Readers are caused to share in the action as they fall into cadence with the leading character, Colonel Vance C. Hempel of the USAF. They are caused to live realistically for a time in an entirely different world where they will meet the beautiful and the ugly, slave and the free, Merchants of war and those of peace and share in love and romance among the beautiful, the innocence and the peaceful.
About the Author
The Author has written newspaper feature articles, education type manuals, training materials and directives for use by Public Schools, State Education Agency, The Air Force and The Federal Aviation Administration. He served as a teacher of Secondary Education, Principal, Central Office Administrator and The State Education Agency. He served as an Air Force Instructor during WW.11, and as a Training Supervisor in Air Force Pilot Training Schools during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration Academy in Oklahoma, City, OK. where he served as an Education and Writing Specialist. The Author holds BS and MS degrees and has done postgraduate work at the Universities of Tennessee, Oregon and at Oregon State College.
