About the Book
Someone is fed up with drug dealers in Memphis. Bodies are found at an alarming rate on dark street corners and city parks. Police in two states are without a clue as to what is killing the pushers, much less who. The silent killer leaves no clues except a creative message that he will strike again.
Even the city’s chief drug lord, disguised as a reputable businessman, tries desperately to silence his tormentor before his illegal business is as dead as his pushers.
Finally, a weapon is found and the only suspect jailed. Lawmen relax one shocking hit too soon.
About the Author
Ken Jones is a retired journalist, having spent 42 years with a variety of newspapers, all in the Southeast. Roots of Vengeance is his first novel. He has covered stories about everything from murder to politics and sports. “I dealt with history and facts for so many years that I guess fiction was a natural outlet. The facts are what I choose to make them, with certain boundaries, and that’s more fun than having to follow a script dictated by what’s happening now.” Jones, 64, is a native of Chapman, Ala., and lives in Olive Branch, Miss.
