About the Book
The fourth President Clinton has her hands full. An unknown force has threatened to annihilate a third of the world’s population. To make matters worse, her VP, Director of Homeland Security and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs have attempted a military coup that she has no means to resist except her natural enemy, the Texas Militia. Fortunately, she has able assistance from an ad hoc band of independent thinkers and adventurers who are compelled by circumstance to come to her aid. Set in a near futuristic America, in the state of South Texas and written in satirical action/adventure, socio-fiction style, Book One-The Message: January is the first in the “Armadillo” series. It presents the mystery of The Message to be dealt with by President Beulah Clinton while she fends off a coup attempt with the able help of Mac, Mimi, Cortez, Charlie Brown and the others. This is done through a series of action adventure chapters which build to the final climax, a pitched battle between the Militia and Homeland Security storm troopers and a dog fight between our heroes in antique F-18 Hornets against Persian MIGS flown by computers. The epilogue of this Book One is the prologue of Book Two, currently being written. A representative chapter is included.
