About the Author

I spent only a brief part of my childhood in Milwaukee but my memories were of an exciting time. I can still hear the roar of the motorcycles coming down our street. I remember how most of the people got along no matter what their ethnic background was. I visit the area and was sorry to see that much of the sight and sounds were all gone. My house fell to highway construction which ran through the area. It may be that memories like mine now are being made for other kids in the area. I hope that they have an ice cream parlor , a doll hospital, and of course , a cobbler shop.
