" I don't enjoy ""poetry"". But, Ben's work is real poetry -- meter & rhyme, apparently too much like work for ""poets"" of today.

Reading & re-reading Ben's work, even after proofreading it with him, I keep finding new, profound meanings that speak to my mood or experience of the moment with timeless profundity. To me, it's much like sacred writ in that sense. It is not a religious work, but includes many Truths revered by faithful people.

Some of Ben's poems are a gentle caress; some a giggle; some a guffaw from the belly; some a kick of realization to the solar plexus. There are at least two that took me several readings to get through without being forced to pause for tears.

To read Ben's work is to experience it, & to hear voices from all reaches of eternity.

Sojourner is a must-have, both for extended reflection and for ""quickie"" spot-checking, one random poem at a time."
