About the Book

What I am trying to express in the summaries of these reports is that Bigfoot are different, just like you and me and everybody else; we are all different in our personalities, attitudes, intelligence and every other conceivable way. These are intelligent creatures, which have been around most likely as long as we have. Some are nice and others not so nice. The point is that these creatures do not act like animals, whose behavior can be determined. Field biologist study animal behavior of various species to get an idea of what the species does. Animals are rather predictable because they are programmed and simple minded. Just like Pavlov’s dogs. I believe these creatures are much smarter than other animals and are not so predictable in their behavior, a lot like us. Now I may have made the point that the Sasquatches in the greenbelt near you are nicer ones, and that the ones in the remote forest are not so nice, but that has to do with whose home turf they are on.

About the Author

When I was a young teen in the late 60’s I remember seeing an article in West magazine featuring a story about Bigfoot and it posted pictures from the famous Patterson-Gimlin film. Those pictures terrified me. The idea that a huge apelike/manlike creature could be running around out in the woods was terrifying to me. I grew up in Southern California amidst millions of my fellow man, so the idea of Bigfoot posing any threat to me was ridicules and I soon lost fear or memory of it. I had gone camping many times without the fear that some large and hairy creature could be lurking behind some tree, which was a good thing as I wouldn’t have enjoyed myself if I was thinking it was there. Then I moved to the Pacifi c Northwest; Washington State to be exact. At first for a good 10 years or so I heard nothing about Sasquatch, but then I read an article of a Bigfoot being in someone’s backyard near Granite Falls. The property owner described his encounter in detail and the thought of something like that being so close raised my curiosity and fears again. I was living only 15 miles away from where this creature was sighted. How and why would a creature like that be so close to me? Shouldn’t it be way out in the remotes portions of the forest? What was it doing in someone’s backyard? This book looks at some of the reports from the Bigfoot Field Research Organization that describes people’s encounter with them. Mainly it is looking at the behavior of Bigfoot as it comes in contact with people. I know you will find this interesting.
