About the Book

When most people think of entertaining they usually use the old tried and true recipes. They buy flowers for a centerpiece, with the candles on either side.. Using the recipes that they know will be suitable, having done them many, many times before. FROM SEASON TO SEASON will help you use your imagination. It will help create a meal that is seasonal, interesting to look at as well as eat. It’s all about thinking, slowing down and enjoying what you are doing. Also, having your guests enjoy themselves and your efforts.

There is WINTERTIME when it’s cold, snowy, and grey. Doesn’t that make you think of a hot, thick soup? Or, perhaps,a stew or goulash? Even a late, long, leisurely breakfast? Of a roaring fireplace, or even a goosedown coomforter and coffee in bed?

In the SPRINGTIME when the trees are beginning to bud and the daffodils are peeking up, do you think about lamb or spring salads? Do you think about a warm sun and eating outside ? Do you think about the first fresh vegetables – spinach, and rhubarb?

Then, before you realize, SUMMERTIME has arrived . Think about freshly caught fish, picnics and clambakes. Lemonade and watermelon. Beets and beans..

Time flies and it’s AUTUMNTIME.. It’s time to watch the trees color and inhale clean crisp air. Do you think about a ride in the country and another picnic? This time with a thermos of hot coffee or tea and a thick sandwich? Do you start to think about football games and victory parties and company who enjoy each other and can argue without rancor?

This book will teach you how to think , using your imagination. Slow down and, mostly, enjoy what you are doing. Food tastes better that way
