" An easy read with lots of good tips for selling and for anyone dealing with the public in general. Some may say the person's tips are common knowledge, but they really aren't. If they were everyone would be a top seller. Most people are afraid of public speaking and people more and more each day are losing effective inter-personal communication with all the new technologies that have come out. When was the last time you went to a restaurant or store and blown away by the service of the employees, rarely if ever. I recommend anyone interested in sales or a person who will deal with the public in a day in and day out basis to buy this book. "

"I have been looking for a book like this for several years. I personally have not come across anything like it since Joe Girard wrote ""How to sell anything to anybody"" back in 1977 (yes I am that old, I read it in 1982). I really enjoy sales and as Anthony Robbins would say ""I believe in constant and never ending improvement."" I have read as many as 40 sales books over the years and if you are selling with the majority of the time getting one meeting to make the deal, this book is one of the best resources you will find.

I loved this book because of Alan has covered things others have missed or not covered in as much detail.

The foundation section:

1. Expands on the necessity for a positive mental attitude and faith in yourself and your product.

2. Provides a great example of how to truly turn sales into what Zig Ziglar calls ""the best paying hard work you will ever do.""

3. Demonstrates how to manage your life around sales to keep everything balanced.

4. Points out details that that others have not adequately covered on proper preparation for your sales day.

The Customer Interaction section:

1. Provides excellent ways to build rapport with your customer in a short period of time.

2. Explains how to truly find the buying clues with a short interaction with a customer.

3. Helps you prepare for converting ""shoppers"" into ""Buyers"" (All shoppers can be buyers if you can find the right solution.)

4. Creating urgency in any environment.

5. How to improve efficiency to increase your sales.

The Closing section:

1. Provides ways to quickly gauge customer interest and efficiently close the sale.
