About the Book
New York and London, 1890’s. An American painter arrives in London, befriended by a British gentleman who dreams of becoming a respected art dealer. The dealer-friend has a list of wealthy clients but the American painter has an eye for the ladies, including married ladies like a mysterious former actress. The play first received a public reading with title, MINE EYE HATH PLAYED THE PAINTER, at the Dramatists Guild of America, New York City, May 21, 2010. Reading was sponsored by Z.R.D., Inc., in collaboration with Friday Night Footlights.
About the Author
Amy L. Heebner has worked in post-secondary education and theater in the United States and Switzerland. She has studied educational theatre in England, in addition to her schooling in the U.S. and German studies in Switzerland. She is also a visual artist and videographer.
