About the Book
Tar—an intelligent, mischievous rat—is at it again. This time, he is driven to fi nd the cheese. Reg—a tiger cub who has a hard time learning and is easily distracted—wants to stop Tar from snooping in his backpack. He wants to go online to order supplies to build a trap. Pal—a sleek state-of-the-art tablet PC—tells him that if he wants to go online, he needs to write a letter to the teacher to get permission. Hence, the saga begins as two friends work through the steps required to type a letter, while the elusive rat searches Reg’s belongings for cheese. Reg has a hard time focusing on learning. He stutters and has attention and processing disorders, therefore it is necessary for him to have an Individualized Educational Plan. However, despite the small class size and individualized attention from his friend, Pal, Reg frequently melts down and proclaims the work too hard for a tiger cub that can’t learn to read. But Pal is patient and frequently adjusts his pace so that Reg can refocus, keep up, and learn. As they got closer to completing the letter, Reg fi gures out a way to put a stop to Tar’s antics, and he triumphs in his ability to learn how to open the word processor, type, edit, and, save the letter for his teacher.
