About the Book
Stix and Ella seek escape from the boredom of their hometown. By extraordinary circumstances, a walk in the country turns into major predicaments. Trapped in the city by the loss of their return bus fare, they become involved with a remarkable group of street people, and experience many exciting confrontations and adventures. The quest home involves surprises and disappointments, and the experiences they encounter lead them to make changes in their attitude toward the people in old Figgsville.
About the Author
Don DiMarco is a published author who has written short stories, poems, plays and articles, many of which have been published in well known magazines. He has authored the poetry collection, “On Cobblestone Streets.” As a guest speaker he has made numerous presentations of “Making Words Come Alive,” an original interactive creative writing program designed for elementary school children. Barbara Ann Dimond is a multi-media artist and writer with a background in fashion merchandising and fiber arts. She paints specialized furniture, porcelain murals and portraits of children and pets. Barbara won awards for her sculpted characters. She lives on a farm in Pennsylvania with her family, has 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
