The compelling story of a young man barely out of law school who finds himself taking on two corrupt and powerful Doctors on behalf of a young widow whose husband was killed through the medical indifference of the Doctors. This unique novel is told in first person narration, using a stream of consciousness style that gives the reader insight into the inner thoughts of the trial lawyer, his personal motivation and some of the childhood experiences that helped him form his personality and view of the world.

The case is a David and Goliath battle between an inexperienced lawyer who goes up against a powerful insurance company, a high powered law firm, and two powerful and corrupt Doctors. The suspense builds as the reader follows the inner workings of the young lawyers mind as he describes each stage of the malpractice case culminating in the cross-examination of the defendant Doctors and the exciting conclusion of the trial.


About the Author

Anthony J. Macri is an attorney and author. He specializes in medical malpractice, personal injury, and criminal trial work. He represents a number of the families of the victims of Nurse Charles Cullen. He has been a trial attorney for 23 years. He practices law in Denville, New Jersey. He has been involved in a large number of substantial personal injury and medical malpractice cases including many landmark cases and various malpractice cases involving failure to diagnose cancer, endocarditis and other illnesses. In addition to The Codes of Silence he is also the author of A Medical Malpractice Case. He was educated at the Delbarton School, Morris Township, New Jersey, Columbia University, New York, New York, and Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree in June, 1982. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, a group dedicated to the highest ideals of the profession. He has lectured extensively and has given numerous free seminars to help advise the public as to their rights concerning medical malpractice, personal injury and criminal law. His avocations include long distance running, sailing, and writing. He is a frequent guest on the Bob Grant Radio Show on WOR Radio where he provides legal commentary.
