“This is a personal humanistic account of one man´s experience with cancer. It is basically a message about hope. Hope of recovery, hope for a cure. The author has written about his traumatic life experience, describing his feelings and his thoughts as he battles the disease. If it helps others face similar crises in their own lives, and makes them realize they are not alone, it will have accomplished a worthy purpose. About the Author

John P. van Gigch, is a retired professor of management. He makes his life in Northern California, in Sebastopol, near Bodega Bay, where he and his wife enjoy the good life. His main joy is to run with his Dalmatian on the beautiful wild beaches of the Sonoma Coast and to take trips abroad, in particular, to France, Italy, New Zealand and, lately, Australia. Apart from traveling, van Gigch enjoys writing and corresponding by e-mail with friends around the world.
