About the Author

James A. McGowan. worked as a Cytotechnologist for 20 years in medical laboratories and hospitals. He received his BA in Liberal Arts from Temple University, and completed the course work towards a masters degree in Counseling, also from Temple. He chaired the Committee for the Disabled of the Pennsylvania Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, originated the world’s first All-disabled Rowing Regatta, did the photography for the country’s first book on the history of wheelchair sports. Twice elected to “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges,” His public appearances include, “Good Morning America,” “Prime Time” and “Evening Magazine.”
